Its a question that gets asked a lot so heres one way of doing it using an online photo storage website such as Photobucket (if you don't want to use an online storage website and you have the images stored on your computer then skip to post 2 below)...

If the photo is on your hard drive then open a photobucket account and start uploading the photo by clicking on the 'upload' icon...

Then click on the 'Choose photos & videos' icon to begin the search for the photo you want to use...

This will open a message box where you need to now navigate to where your photo is located (either on your desktop or somewhere in your hard drive)..

Navigate to the photo and click on it, then click on 'Choose'....

Once its uploaded the photo will appear as a shortcut on the screen. Click on it...

And your photo will be displayed. To the right of the photo is a box with different codes, click on the 'Direct' code and it should copy the data automatically, if it doesn't then right click and select 'copy'.

Alternatiely, go to the album in photobucket that now contains your image. Underneath the image is a box containing the same codes, right click on the 'Direct' code and then 'copy'...

The image data has now been copied and this is the data that you need to post in your forum post. Now open the UKGSER forum in a separate tab, so that you can alternate between the two sites if necessary, and start typing your message. Place the cursor where you want the message to appear, then click on the 'Image' icon at the top of the message box (looks like a little tree)...

In the box that then pops up, place your cursor in the 'URL' box and 'right click', then 'paste' the photo data that you have just copied, and then click 'OK'.

The photo data appears in your message with
to the right. Now preview your post to ensure the photo is in the correct place within your message, then post your message as normal.

Another way to do this for photos stored on your computer, and without having to use an online photo storage site such as Photobucket, is to 'Manage Attachments'. Doing it this way means the photo will appear at the bottom of your message. If you want the photo to appear say within the middle of your message then use the option in post 1 above ^^^^^

When typing your message, click on the 'Go Advanced' icon int he bottom left of the page. The scroll down to where theres a box saying 'Manage Attachments'...

This will then open a message box for you to navigate to where your photo is located on your computer (desktop/hard drive etc). Click on 'Choose File'...

Navigate to where your photo is stored and select it, then click on 'Choose' in the bottom right of the screen...

The photo data is then attached to your message, all you need to do now is to click on 'Upload'....

When you post your message the photo will now show at he bottom of your message, and may be small in size, viewers can click on it to enlarge it.

Mac users - to post an image that you've found on the tinterweb, just right click on the image and click 'Copy Image Address'. Then post the image details as above, or just paste them into your message and type
to the right...

e.g.

You're making hard work of all this Steve

SmugMug, look at your photograph, get a link, insert in your post ... simples :D

If using a macbook and wanting to post an image found elsewhere on the net..

On the web page containing the image > right click on the image (who finger click) > Copy Image Address. This copies the image data.

To post this image data into your forum post, click on the Insert Image icon, and post your image data into the pop up box.

(The Insert Image icon simply adds
tags to the beginning and end of the image data. You can of course just type these tags yourself either side of your image data. Ensure you use the correct type of brackets and dont leave any spaces)

That's all very good, and easy, but if the original image is moved at any time then it won't appear in your post!

You've only to look through old posts on here to see how many images are not now available
