Just some place we found by Googling. We stayed at a Premier Inn. It was a good staging and launch point for the first day

Top tip: Sort your tech before you go. I had a load of video but hadn't taken enough tech to sort it on route
Downside being I've lost a load of fantastic clips

You're not kidding. This was a whistle stop considering whats available off the beaten track.

We went Tongue, Lairg, Ullapool. The roads we unbelievable. And not a soul on them.

We shall definately be back for sure

The roads look fab, just googled.
Prices for accom over that way, not so great.

Though I see some cheap wig-wam type places ... camping it is then

David, have a look at https://www.syha.org.uk/ Hostels these days are a far cry of the ones of old. Some are excellent, some are basic, none of them are bad. Once you have the Scotty bug there`s no cure, been going there for nearly 40 years!
