not sure about

Acrylic Glass, is that like transparent aluminium?

Form and function together = great but $500 to get them in the country + VAT and duty at 6.5%.... a wee bit toppy?

Ive got the top box rack fitted to my K1600. Easy to fit without any drilling etc. Removed easy with no signs its been on there. Really useful for carrying an extra bag. Not too sure about the panier racks tho.
Got mine from these guys, took about a week. http://www.euronetbike.net/is-pp11.html

Excellent. Looks like they are made by Isotta in Italy and the prices vary a lot on different sites. I have asked the German site whether the K1600 and R1200 pannier racks are the same and if so I will hunt down the best price.

Regards,

Matt

look half decent ,,bit as mentioned ..$500 !!! bit steep ….will do a good job of protecting the pannier tops though when no luggage fitted to them

Hi all,

Just a quick update on this. Roberto from RS Motorcycle Solutions has dropped me a line. I will paste his text here as it is useful...

"The producer of theese racks is Isotta from Italy. We are the German distributor and partner for Isotta parts. The prices on the Isotta homepage are with Italian VAT which is 23%. Our prices naturally are with the German VAT which is less (19%).

The price that somebody saw on Euronetbike is discounted because the luggage racks have some little misstakes (small scratches).

The offered rack on Ebay is from our american partner....so it comes anyway from us here in Germany as we are allowed to handle also foreign markets.

There are 2 different racks available:

PP11 is for the K1600GTL with chromed brake stop housing.

PP15 is for the K1600GT and the R1200RT LC Touring Topcase. This version will be available soon also in dark smoked colour with black metal plates .

The PP14 is the luggage rack for the side pannier which will fit the GT/GTL models and the RT LC models as well."

Roberto also attached installation instructions that I will upload later and very kindly offered a 10% Tossers discount on all products across their site. When I get the code later I will share that in the discounts section for subscribers only.

Cheers,

Matt

It is sad to see mis-leading information here

Tech guy from RS Moto company whatever.
http://shop.isotta-srl.com/pp11-2164.html

1. PP11 fits to GT and GTL and RT models from 2011-, maybe he did not copy paste well from Isotta site.
2. The prices in Isotta site are the highest ones and RS should have cheaper prices as is 19% German taxes and is a dealer, in fact there is no difference.
3. Can not say that Euronetbike is selling with scratches as I bought myself to them and very happy with it and it fits to GT just to make it clear.
4. Where was RS company years ago when I bought this part at Euronetbike, it was not even created maybe.
I called Isotta company that time and they gave me the address and phone of Euronetbike as they were official dealers, they did not give me RS thing.
5. PP15 fits to GT only and does not fit to GTL and RT models. Here is reply from Isotta technician:
---------------------------------------
yes, the PP11 fit to both GT and GTL version, while the PP15 only on the GT version.
The max load for both the rear rack is 4,5kg.

Regards
---------------------------------------
Finally I think that the RS tech guy has no clue and wants to sell at first sight.

Those kind of post should not be posted here as is miss-leading to the other members.

Hello Misteri, hello everybody
I'm Roberto and owner of RS Motorcycle Solutions and usually we don't want to be in forums and discuss about items or to do advertising.
But we think that we should comment your points as they are simply not true.

1. The PP11 was mainly developed for the K1600GTL. It will fit to the GT and RT models, but it will look a bit goofy on the RT models. The shape of the backrest of the GTL topcase is different than the K1600GT and RT models. We did not copy from the Isotta site because this item (PP15) was made in collaboration with ISOTTA on our demand.

2. The prices are official prices which are given from ISOTTA. It's the recommended retail price.

3. This was our information from ISOTTA. We saw that the price was to cheap according to their price list and we asked for the reason.

4.We are a new company, that's completely right. But we also made our experience working for years for one of the biggest BMW specialists in the world based in Germany.

5. The RS thing is listed as official ISOTTA dealer for Germany and we have also the authorisation to deal outside.

6. PP15 will fit to the RT LC models (big Touring Topcase). We sold a few and since now everybody is happy. The max load for the rack is always based according to the manufacturers' specifications. It says that 10kg is the maximum load for topcase + additional luggage.

And finally, seeing your profile and country, it seems that you have some interests to post this misleading information.

Thank you for your time

Regards
Roberto Schmitz

Hello Mr.Roberto,

Welcome to our forum. Thanks to Matt that invited you (I suppose)

I have no intention to miss-leading info just to make it short and clear.

As you stated in point 1, PP11 - plexi rear rack fits to GTL and GT (and RT just it looks goofy). So it is clear this point. (What was miss-leading in my post here I did not understand? anyway)
It is insulting to company isotta that produces these well made racks, when you mentioned in the email of Matt, that other companies are selling with scratches and you don't.
(What does that mean that isotto ships scratched racks to them or them scratch the rack them self to lower the prices??)

As a young company and you are the owner, normally need to use the common sense to make business.

Beware, there is a maximum weight for panniers and you could easily overload them.
