Can anyone recommend a pole type thing that can elevate a camera to say shoulder height to fit a std GoPro mount fitted to the top of a pannier?. I've seen these but the are only 12" long. Still better than nowt.
A single pole will vibrate quite a bit no matter how its fixed. A light weight tripod, eack leg tiewrapped to a suitable point with an adjustable head will give better results. It will also be adjustable to position the camera to give the shot you want.
I got ONE OF THESE for two quid, delivered....does the job fine and has been used to take dog's eye view footage of a walk on the beach, underwater shots in rockpools and when I lent it to Quinten, he said it was superb for 'up the skirt' shots at work
Brackets to mount on the pannier yet to be sorted but there are any number of options.
PS if you want something super strong instead, I'd go for a telescopic walking pole/ski pole.....designed to support full sized people and FAR cheaper than anything of equivalent quality aimed at a hobby market like photography.
