Weathers kinda nice - time to ride!

Just back myself from a round trip of c580 miles over three days. Getting bike serviced.
Bike tad salty but now looking good after first wash, will get another tomorrow, then re-coat of XCP.

The Struie - Lairg - Rogart section was in fine form. Surprisingly good road conditions in the main. :thumb2

was a grand day for a bimble . . .

Close enough John, just a little up the road from the spot you plotted on google maps.

I'd just come around Lochindorb as it happens, but the wind was quite wicked there, so no photo, yet strangely OK on the Dava road where I took the photos.

Facebook memories popped up with an almost identical picture from 7 years ago, that and the point a little back where you can see the Black Isle and Cairngorms from one parking point are two of my favourite picture taking locations.

Magical time of year when the hills still have easily seen snow on them, and the sun shines after the depressing days of winter.

Den and I scaring the locals in Killin and the Hard Bastards Tearoom. What a nice change the fresh tarmac up & over Ben Lawers is...go check it out...

This long, cold, wet winter meant my first wee shake down today was much later than previous years.

My new XT mount didn’t fall off.

I’m getting too old with thin blood for unnecessary cold riding.

A wee 50 mile loop and a mere 7.5 degrees when I took the snaps. Brrr.

Roll on May Euro trip. Surely will be warmer.

ps - it’s Powmill

pps - when will this forum just take pictures right way up first time?

Surprisingly quiet out today.

Callander was busy but I’ve never seen the road along Loch Earn so empty.

A very short shake down this evening after the postie delivered my oil filter at 1830h so I completed my oil change.

No leaks, nothing fell off, my pass out is signed off by the boss, so it’s off to catch the North Sea ferry tomorrow.

That's NC looks usefully kitted out Steve. Would you mind giving a bit of info about what you've done to it?

No problem . . .
Front to back - Standard screen painted matt black inside & out, cheapo ram mount type ball thing above instruments, Pyramid (I think)headlight protector, Puig engine bars, cheapo chinese spots via Honda switch, Oxford heated grips, GIVI hand protectors, DIY switched supplies via a hidden relay box, Honda fork gaitors, home made sump guard, GIVI tank bag, GIVI pannier rails and top box mount (the plates on the pannier rails take home adapted peli cases and soft bags). Finishing off with a scottoiler, DIY rear crap defelctor and a Black Widow end can, so's it can sing properly.

Whole thing for sale on gumtree Moray, if interested :D
