Rather than going ALL red, try having only the high end of the tacho red and the rest a 6k white.
I did try all red across the dash but didn't like it at all.
I'm still waiting for a couple of solid hours free to take apart my spare RID to see if I can replace those nasty old tech yellow lights in it
