Just got back from some trail riding for a few days, and wanted to upload the routes onto basecamp, but it looks like my laptop won't acknowledge my Montana is connected. Neither does it show up as being connected to the laptop in the file menu.
The unit won't power up unless there is a USB lead connected, and it doesn't want to read the sd cards and mapping either. (i had this issue a few weeks back now)
I've restored to factory settings, and still no joy.
Has it degraded to the point it is now just an expensive paperweight?
As for replacing, are the garmin official factory refurbed units worth looking at, or do i just bite the bullet and get a brand spanker along with all the mapping again?
