Longevity not great either.

Any recommendations for good offroad grip but decent road manners?

Yes, sorry fat fingers. It’s a 50/50 tyre.

KTM at Sweetlamb now fit them to their bikes.

I was warned when ordering the E07 make sure I don’t get the E07 Dakar. Fitter didn’t know what I was talking a about, but I’m passing the same useless information to you !

Dakar has stiffer side walls, better for rocky/stoney shit when running lower pressure also makes fitting them way easier (NOT!).

FWIW I ran them on my 636 in the Pyrenees and The Peaks ~ great road tyre, great on dry rocky, gravely stuff, crap in mud........the blocks aren't very deep and look half worn even when new

Here they are just after fitting (note the yellow stripe; denoted Dakar version).

Jon - when you got legless in Iceland it was brought on by a combination of Guiness and red wine at the Irish Bar in Reykjavik. For Andres it is a very different experience!

Pair of these ordered. Few issues with early ones cracking but hopefully sorted. Wanted the stiff sidewalls so i can run lower pressures. Will provide feedback but imagine they’re going to out play the Karoo’s. Hope so!

Interested in how you get on with these, especially for muddy UK trail riding. They're supposed to be rather good on bigger bikes like 690's and 790's. I've been using a six day rear on the 690 for winter but it's getting ripped to shreds rather too quickly.
