Swingarm forward pivot alternative bearings

iv been after a set my self. as afar as i can tell the oem ones are sealed. all the others iv seen are open type

The swing arm bearings are commonly available ( 30203) 17x40x13.25

any local auto parts store or bearing/seal supply house should be able to source them for not much $.

Hi, I need x2 of the forward tapered roller bearings for the front of the swingarm. No5 in the attached image. Seems alternatives are available, but wondered if anyone can recommend a good company to deal with as loads pop up on google.

Bearing is given as 17x40x35,25

The 17x40x17.5mm 2RS is not available in taper roller. You can get the size without seals.

I fitted 2RS angular contact ball bearings. 20,000 miles now and going fine. Flipped the seals out and packed full with moly grease. A bad idea for wheel bearings but ideal for a rocking motion.

Digging up an old thread...
Bendy toy...how did you get a 17mm x 40mm x 17.5mm Bearing into the swing arm hole when its only 17mm x 40mm x 13.25mm the angular contact bearing would have stuck out about 5mm's proud on both sides of the swing arm this would have shifted the swing arm that 5mm's out of line with the drive shaft center line ????
I to an keen on replacing the tapered roller bearings with balls (much more suitable for the application)

Thanks in Advance

Bendy doesn't own a 1100/1150 to my knowledge
He has a 1200
Doesn't stop him commenting technical advice though

He also says he swings/pivots up the rear subframe (as you do on an 1100/1150) to change the clutch on a 1200 .. :D
