Africa Twin farkles list

Went for a quick spin to a green lane I know well and where I would normally avoid the big whoops and holes I rode over them without hardly noticing, pretty amazing really. Looking forward to having a longer ride .

At your age, are those stick men your workout routine? before your ride?

I've got suspension envy :D

My chum has a TT rear suspension unit on his 800 GSA....transformed the rear end for him. Terribly expensive tho’...

Yeah I think around £1300 for each end , mine has the cartridge forks too and 30mm extra travel each end. The bike went to Tractive suspension in holland where it’s made and was custom built for Rally Raid.

Nice, very nice.

I might go for this on mine....

Another Chinese bargain/copy of an SW Motech product and very nice they are too. :thumb2 Much better size and platform for my size 9’s and much more comfortable when standing up on the pegs.

Bit of a wait... but here they are fitted with Conti Trail Attack 3's

hJFO3ICh.jpg

How are you finding these? I'm getting through the Pirelli scorpion trails and looking for a longer lasting tyre.

After fitting the new peg tops, the gear change just wasn’t quite right. Moving it one spline didn’t work out right, so bought this new adjustable arm from Rugged Roads. Usual fantastic service/delivery and excellent quality for the price.
Now have the perfect feeling back in my foot for all gear changes. :bounce1

it really is a great bike, compared to my mates standard Dct bike the improvements I've done have made it a totally different bike to his especially the hilltop treatment

I had my hilltop treatment removed as I couldn't tell the difference.. Great bike though. As a quick recap, what have you done to improve your bike?

Some mods have been cosmetic and added bling but these have made a difference, Tubeless 17/19 wheels - ohlins shock - ktech fork cartridge kit, Full titanium exhaust, this removes the cat however i personally thought it lost some mid-range so purchased the sports cat and now the mid certainly feels stronger.

Strange how you could not tell the difference, the director @ ktech has a Dct and borrowed mine to compare, he said mine was totally different to his bike, he commented on how smooth the on/off throttle and the bike felt a lot more urgent.

I imagine the wheels and suspension mods will make a big difference to your bike, and the rear wheel size will effectively change the gearing.. I have a 15t front cog on mine and it made a MUCH bigger difference than the hilltop, very noticeable.. I quite like the standard suspension when set up, but I imagine yours is excellent?

the rear wheel size will effectively change the gearing..

With the smaller wheels you cannot run the stock gearing, the Dct does not like it, the rear sprocket is now 40T and this now replicates oe gearing.
