Another oil question... But indulge me

I'm off down to Tesco's; hopefully mine's running a similar deal.

As it is only the engine and a dry clutch, there won't be issues from them. It 'maybe' slightly louder but that is subjective.

Should start easier in colder weather, and slightly less protection above 30°c which Scotland is well renowned for.

I use good spec 10w40 in the 1200 can’t tell any difference to 20w50.
Top brands at knockdown prices are always worth having. Sold off cheap is not the same as cheap stuff in the first place.

The last bike (Diversion 900) ran on semi synth turbo diesel grade oil. It’s not expensive and changed every 6K was probably still well within spec.
At 70K there was no measurable wear on the cams. The clutch started slipping around the same time. The friction plates were bang on minimum thickness. New plates for £50, an hour to fit and all was well again.

My TC 1200 is on 10/40... No discernible oil use... It'll either be Power1 semi synth for the next change or Power1 racing synth....mainly as I rushed to Teco having seen this, and didn't spot I'd just bought 4 of each @£3.12 a litre
