I've had a few times now where I hit a bump in the road & it obviously jolts the unit in the holder so that the connectors aren't touching, then my old friend the "auto power off" will turn the GPS off if I don't notice. Otherwise I just have to wiggle the GPS in the mount or tap it & it'll contact the pins again.
I notice that one of the power pins in the mount will sometimes stick in, I've lubed it with contact cleaner & have put some battery terminal grease on it, but it still stays in - any hints or tips?
Also - is there a way to disable the auto power off? It's an absolute pain in the arse.....
Cheers,
Damon
