I've had a few times now where I hit a bump in the road & it obviously jolts the unit in the holder so that the connectors aren't touching, then my old friend the "auto power off" will turn the GPS off if I don't notice. Otherwise I just have to wiggle the GPS in the mount or tap it & it'll contact the pins again.

I notice that one of the power pins in the mount will sometimes stick in, I've lubed it with contact cleaner & have put some battery terminal grease on it, but it still stays in - any hints or tips?

Also - is there a way to disable the auto power off? It's an absolute pain in the arse.....

Cheers,

Damon

Is your unit getting loose in the cradle? Mine was and some insulating tape over the lower mounting lug stopped the power disconnect problem altogether.
