Anybody got a rough idea of the cost of a 10,000 km service ?

Will I need to just crack open the piggy bank or sell a kidney ?

Phone a dealer & ask?

I’ve just sold mine and did all my own servicing, IIRC the 6k one is just a normal service plus valve check. All simple shit on a single so it’s hardly something that’s gonna need a remortgage............

I have Andres' old TE630. Looking over it and doing some general checks, it's not rocket science and easy to do yourself. Don't get too hung up about the valve check, it's bucket and shim so highly unlikely to need any adjustment at 6k miles.

Cheers, just getting it MOT'd then a service and it will go up for sale as not using it much.

It will be going on here after the MOT and service (I don't think it's right to sell a bike that is going to need a service just after somebody has bought it).
With all the extras it will be a good bike for somebody (25 ltr safari tank, Scott steering damper etc).

Going in for an MOT on Saturday. It's at around 5,500 miles with the service due at 6,200. The plan was to get it serviced and put it up for sale as it is just sitting in the garage, past sporting injuries have finally caught up with me. If you are interested before it gets serviced drop me a pm.

Not done the advert yet but from the top of my head (probably spelt somethings wrong):

25 lts safari tank + original
Scott steering damper
Reikonen footpegs
Heavy duty bash plate
Sub frame strengthening done
Professionally lowered approx. 40 mm by a suspension specialist (can’t remember where right now)
KTM 690 screen
