Lovely bike enjoy it in this great weather. Zed Power is your friend for spares as they have built a few.

A great picture and a great bike.
If it had 2 more cylinders it would be perfect.

I wonder could it be my old bike

She went to London to Petticoat Lane If I recall correctly :(

There were not actually many finished in the Rootbeer and Orange that year (1973)

Single disc calliper, plus Kick starter, plus American reflectors on fork legs and I remember the guy saying he had got a 4 into 4 for her

It was a 2 into 2 "gazelle stainless on it when she left, it was kept good in the garage loft whiles she had a mish mash short GSXR can on an laser front pipe when in the truck garage

There was a very slight blemish in the orange on the tail piece on the RHS but I remember his saying something about getting paint done by paint box It was on an Age related plate here so he may not have been able to change it FIA 9486 If I remember correctly ?

Cracking bike I’ve had around 6 73 Z1s and two very early 72 models. my last is in the hands of john brooks the guy who has written the most up to date info on all the differences in early and late Z1s a must have book for you.

Better than money in the bank

Stunning bike and very usable ... hope you ride and enjoy it :thumb2

Stable Mates

Thanks for all your positive comments, 6 cyl Zeds not my thing but have a big following.

Owned my first 1000A1 at 19 way back in the late 70s, toured and camped all over the UK, we have 2 modern bikes but they have seen little use this year as I've been riding the classics more and more.

Came across this the other week ; lazing around in Mat-bath. Same colour as my old bike; and tugging the same heart strings.
