They're Terns and I got hit on the head 4 times in succession by the little blighters for going too near their nest.

They are indeed aggressive buggers. IIRC Tim posted a pic from last year's trip of them seeing off a bloody great big Sea Eagle! The little buggers have no fear!

They don't make much of a nest. This was near my tent last year.
