The Dent Event - 17th to 19th May 2019

ooh, that's a right mess. Glad you are ok. When did you notice it? When you stopped or did the rear just give out completely?

As an aside, I'm safety home in Dublin, I had a lovely time. I had some really good laughs. Lots of good craic had. Rock on folks, see you at the next one.

something just didn’t feel right, slowed down and luckily there was a services coming up. pulled in and discovered the mess. it was still dripping so can’t have been gone that long. AA turned up within an hour and brought me home.

glad you made it back over the water :thumb1:

Right, best outcome for you. Hopefully it is just a blown seal.

You know, that ferry, belfast to Cairnryan, it's a nice ferry. Lots of nice places to sit, food was good. Met up with a few lads who were dead sound, they had been to Scotland, the highlands. I'll have to visit. Now I know where fife is, thanks to posh Peats map, artistically drawn over a few pints of beer. Most entertaining. Unless you are posh pete? To be honest, I get a bit confused as to who is who! Some of you are, well, unforgettable, so I match the name with the forum moniker.

I counted my midgy bites. I have found nearly forty so far. It's hard to tell how many are in my hair. SMIDGE and a bucket of next year. This irish man is not feed those little shits again. Thanks gang. See yez:D

Posh Pete? That's meeeeeee! I've now got two monickers thanks to Khulu. (Ian). Lots of laughs all round. I always come back from Dent with an aching jaw!

Sorry to hear about the bike, Gordon. Could have been a lot worse by the sound of it!

Yet another great Dent Do. The craic was brilliant, the people were brilliant and the location is brilliant.:beerjug:

Special thanks to Micky Events LTD, Barny's Burgers PLC, Norms Brewing Co. and Fatal's Hiking Adventures, plus all the ride organizers.:clap

thanks for another great dent weekend. good to meet old and new faces.

unfortunately on the way home my final drive decided it didn’t want to hold its oil in any more and spat it out all over my rear wheel. at 80mph on the M6.

guardian angel must have been watching.

Enjoy it bud; nothing like a bit of solitude for recharging old batteries; crackin do as always.:beerjug:

And there it was gone. Just like the legendary village of Brigadoon. Thankfully though Dent is every year, not every 100 years :D

Thanks to Mickey and the others for organising stuff. I had a fab time, see y'all next year :)

Cheers Micky, lance and I had a cracking wknd thanks for having us and thanks to all those that took the time to organise it, great stuff :beerjug:

Home,

Showered, fed, and unpacked :)

4 days 950 miles and it's still managing to run lol .

The same cant be said fo my nav tablet experiment .. managed to draw more power than can be fed from the din plug usb thingy

So went flat twice lol

Left at 8, and was indoors by 4 - I dived accross to the M1, which by by comparison to the M6 was a breeze,

70 all the way, no hold ups until the M25..

Great weekend, good to put more names to faces :)

Princetown next??

Dave & Val aren’t doing a Princetown do this year, but I’ll call the pub and see if they’ve got the same weekend available this year
