Evening All,

I have had issues with my 2008 GSA since purchased for two years, the issue originally between 4000- 5000 RPM on A roads around 70 ish.... Or there about's....... Was normally fine at all other rev's/ speeds and this issue was not constant but intermittent on long runs (1.5 hours).

Carried out the following actions:

Took to Cannons BMW who fitted two new primary coils - Ran excellent for 2-3 weeks then reverted back to as before.
Changed remaining two secondary coils - Still the same as above.
Changed the fuel pump - The bike started up then died after 30 seconds at idle most of the time and cut out regularly whilst riding.
Opened fuel filler cap and rode the bike - Same as above with no change.
Changed the electronic fuel controller - Bike ran rather than cutting out but still has poor running issue most of the time now at all revs/ speeds.
Unplugged the secondary coils then unplugged one primary at a time and the bike ran on each cylinder in turn.
Had the bike cleaned in a spray wash and the issue was instant when riding away.
Disconnected all electrical connections around the injectors dried with air/ electrical contact spray and refitted - No change.
Sprayed Carb/ Fuel injector cleaner into each bell mouth - Seems to rev better once the cleaner had dissapered but the issue remains.
Fitted an M&P Power Jet Fuel Commander same time as the Carb spray - No real improvement.

Anyone got any ideas as this is driving me nuts and I would like it fixed....

Many thanks All.

Agree with the plugs comment....had a similar issue. If not here then the Lamda sensors.

go spray the bike with a jet wash , BUT in the dark , any electrical short should be easy to see

get a specialist to service it , they will know more tweaks than the main dealers i suspect.

Throw a large dose of Petrol additive in the tank (I prefer Techron myself) then thrash it for a bit.

Why didn't you take it back to Cannons BMW?

Did book it in for another look but could not make the appointment due to a work commitment change, got some opinions off of here and thought I would try those first as I assumed BMW would charge again for their time????

They did not state there would be a charge but I just assumed, maybe incorrect?

Dont think I will wash it again and introduce a fault...Could do with a specialist though around the NE Essex area (within 150 miles or so).

Can anyone recommend a local specialist????

Done that already, put the whole bottle in the tank then went out for a run. Done it the same time as the M&P/ carb cleaner and it ran great for 30 miles then just reverted back.

This weekend.

Ideally looking for information for this weekend to work on it, may require any spares or materials so I can fix over the xmas period.

Apologies for the short replies, I am busy on a work course and many thanks to all for your replies thus far.

Cheers.

I have a good spare tps you can borrow. PM me if you want.
