Minor hiccup in my Ducati's reliability..

On the plus side, new rear light fitted and new numberplate and its now as good as new. On the downside I'm not sure if I've developed an oil leak :blast, most likely culprit the output shaft as its coming from the front sprocket.

There is an outside chance it's just over-enthusiastic chain oiling, but there was a reasonable amount of oil splatter on the rear wheel and edge of the tyre, so am going to get it booked in to the dealer as soon as I can.

Ho hum.

Paranoia strikes, the above was just an over enthusiastic chain oiling and switching to gear oil for the chain.

Panick over, normal service resumed.

The 899 clicked over 30,000 miles today. It's the longest I've kept a bike at 5 years and still can't find anything I'd rather replace it with despite trying a range of alternatives. Normal service is resumed from the previously mentioned issues and the bike is running like clockwork.

The run out today was on quite minor roads around the Vale of Belvoir which isn't the bikes natural territory, but great fun. :)
