I’ll let Andres, fill in the gaps if he wants too,
But ,
My in experience ,ex competition machines have generally had a hard life,
Once retired from the race track they end up as farm or field bikes, where they get ragged around until completely fucked.
This one appears to be no exception:blast

Eat meat, there'd be less pollution :hippy

On a closer inspection it starts to look grim:barf

All of this needs sorting prior to refinishing the paint ,as it will just look dreadful

In order to address the issues it all needs to go back to bare metal.:bounce1
The main stand is bent and twisted,
The swing arm is just a mess

Are you sure this bullie should be Blue?

It was the very last of the Mk11's which were coloured white and made a bit more road friendly (quieter exhaust, different gearing and a single plug head as opposed to twin plugged) ~ the previous owner rattle canned it blue, not sure about the orange though (would have been a black frame)

Anyway, blue is the iconic colour for a Mk11 so blue it shall be :)

PS I'll butt out now :D and leave you to it Mike ~ thanks for doing the thread, it'll be great watching it come together :beerjug:

Post up as you please,I feel sure everyone would like to hear about the story so far:comfort

Actually the photo above is quite good,
Look at the rear seat and mudguard, compare to yours,
Hence the need to dry build:thumb

Good point, blimey!
