Hi Guys I bought one last week and have bought a Hitchcock high rise "Woodsman " exhaust system to fit to it
Problem id the exhaust head nut seems pretty solid / wont move
I've tried the nut lubricant / soaked it over night , tried undoing it after a run but no go
Any ideas ? I can see them just shearing off then needing an engineer to fix it
Any other ideas ? a blowlamp ? Cheers :beerjug:

So what temp are we talking ? I’m looking at a blow torch That gets to 1000 degrees or an electric heater gun that gets to 600 degrees . ? I guess it has to glow red 😎

Cherry red. You’ll struggle with the heat gun.

You need to get the nut cherry red whilst heating the stud as little as possible, so the nut expands and the stud doesn’t

Hot air gun is nowhere near hot enough,

Blowtorch is not concentrated so will heat a large area not just the nut

Oxy acetylene torch has a small pointed very hot flame, that’s what you need

Many thanks , will try and find a mechanic to do it cheers

Well the snake juice and blow torch worked . All came apart easily , needed a sledge hammer to free it one the nuts were off . Fitted a nice raised woodsman style system now which really lifts the bikes looks . No change in power though . Cheers for the advice

I fitted a cheap aftermarket end can to my EFI at the end of last summer. Massive weight saving, much better sounding and a significant uplift in power/speed. If anything it’s a little too loud now, but she flies along!!
