I know lots of you lads and lasses have visited the commonwealth war graves in Belgium and France and have paid your respects to those that gave their lives during the conflicts on the last century, so this may interest you.

On 22nd May 2019 a special memorial event is being held in Rebecq, Belgium (south west of Brussels) in tribute to the airmen of the Royal Air Force who fell in Belgium between 1940 and 1945, as well as to all the Belgian Resistance fighters who helped the survivors of the aircraft crashes escape the enemy. The memory of the aviators of the 550 Squadron RAF North Killingholme who fell in Belgium during the Second World War and the Belgian civilians who assisted them to escape from the Nazi occupiers will never be forgotten.

If anyone finds themselves in the area, this event will be a very worthwhile way to spend an hour of your time. Full details of the event and timings are below:
