A back street hero of mine, Axel Budde will be showing three of his fabulous uber cool Kaffeemaschines at the show. Along with mine , there will be more Guzzis on display than at some of the national shows in recent years where Guzzi (Piaggio owned) have sadly been missing.

It’s well worth a visit.

Here’s one

He consistently builds the nicest Guzzi customs IMO, by a long chalk.

Even more pissed off now I can’t make it this year.

Anyone been / going to this? £25 entrance fee....worth it or so rammed full you can't see the bikes or find somewhere to chill? I fancy it but crowds do my nut :Duchess

I’m going but we have a bike shed membership so get 2 tickets for free.

Looking forward to it.

Does it get busy there?

It can do but I’ve never seen it too busy.

If you’re there for the bikes go early if you’re there for haircuts, tattoos grooming products and hipster stuff go later!

Hopefully it won’t be too crammed, it hasn’t been so previously.

For me, there will be several Guzzis and I’m particularly excited that Axel Budde of Kaffeemaschines fame is bringing three of his exotic creations along from Germany and also Paul Buxton is showing his fabulous Yellow Le Mans bike, this was one of Bike Exif’s bikes of the week.

If you do go, come and say Hi, of course, I’ll be the one with a “I love my ‘Zagato’ Guzzi” tee shirt on.

Hi folks, I have tried to get information on the forthcoming motorcycle show from these useless websites (i.e. Tobacco Dock and The Bike Shed). Are the events on 24 and 25 May all-day and can a ticket be purchased there and then? Is it being held at Tobacco Dock on Wapping Lane? I went to a cat show there a few weeks back and thought the place essentially unsuited to any kind of show. No space for viewing - you could not swing a cat or a Guzzi there. In any case I am interested in restoring my original Le Mans (please don't call them Mark Ones) and would like to chat to a fellow sufferer on the matter. Any sensible information really appreciated. Do I need to grow a pigtail to get in?

regards

Dave/Kingston

From an email I just received from Bike Shed..

“550 exhibitors, 250 un-seen custom bikes, in 120,000 sf of historic East London dockside space, surrounded by art, photography, gear & apparel brands - showing the best new 2019 gear, fuelled by enough food & drink to feed an army of foodies, while being serenaded by live music, free movies, and in the company over 16,000 like-minded souls. Smoke a cigar in the lounge, get a barbershop haircut, or even a tattoo (e.g. "Dutch Rules" across your knuckles) from the legendary Dan Gold or Damian Gorsky. The films alone are worth a ticket. If you've never seen On Any Sunday or TT-Closer to the Edge, now's your chance, and if you want to know more about this new-wave cafe/custom bike scene, watch the public premiere of Oil in the Blood! ...So what are you doing this sunny weekend? Bike Shed London 2019. Under 16s go free. ...”

That blood runners Katana looks like some weird kibd of shit. Looks like there's plenty to feast yer eyes on.

I was in B&Q earlier and they had sheets of aluminium with that pattern. Made me think had way it must have been to make this.

My apologies to the builder I’m sure it was a labour of love

I would want a refund if I'd paid to go in and seen that lot.

It's the imagination; and the detail of the work that captures my interest; the function of the object is always secondary in most .
