Desktop to Router - best with WiFi or Ethernet?

I have used a Solwise powerline plug system for a number of years. Means every room with a 13A socket is connected to the router including the smart tv.

There are a couple of different powerline systems , some low throughput units just use the Earth whereas the higher rated units use all three connections

I'd like to ask a question if thats OK. I currently have a TP link to provide a wireless signal from the router in the office into the lounge via the house wiring. It works intermittently & requires resetting regularly. I also have an ethernet hardwired cable from the Router in the office to the lounge. This is currently plugged directly to my Amazon fire TV box to ensure I can stream movies without buffering. Can I plug this cable into a wifi extender/ booster for a more reliable signal wifi signal in the lounge. If so what would you recommend?

You could plug it into the wifi unit but you would probably benefit more from either installing a four way router on the cable or something like the TP-Link 3 port adaptor that uses the mains cabling to give 1200MBs.

I have the tp-link TL-WA850RE wireless unit, if yours is the same it only has one frequency option on the wifi

Out in the sticks in Donegal. Fiber straight in to the house. 150Mbps down and about 40 up, loving it. Power line extenders in to kids rooms for smart TV's and XBOX and wifi extender in kitchen to get on average 70Mbps download throughout the ground floor. All Devolo kit. Do find I have to reset the whole chebang every now and then but when it's working it's flying!

Thanks for the reply. I am not convinced with the TP link as the one i have stops working regularly & has to be reset. i also fitted one in my Dads house which does similar.
