I have an old School friend who lives in Limoges and runs a poetry workshop on the last Friday of every month. He mentioned the fact they are after new recruits and would I like to attend?

Lets check the weather forecast for that few days...

This road from Limoges to Treignac (D979/940) twists and turns like in the Black Forest but its emptier. :thumb2

Now there is normally an odd "hiccup" or two on most of my trips and things were about to repeat on me... :doris

Looking at the map I guessed I could do the Pas De Peyrol (highest pass in the Massif) and be back in Limoges for the evenings entertainment!

Hi Tricky

You probably already know this but about 25km from Limoges is Oradour-sur-Glane, a town that was massacred by the Germans during their withdrawal in 1944

It was left untouched and is quite interesting and sobering to visit

Nice thread :thumb2
