I’m looking to upgrade the weedy horn on my 2015 RT.

Hopefully someone will be able to recommend a good replacement that they know fits the available space, can bus compatible preferably in order to avoid relay etc.

Thanks
Rich

Usual suspects, Denali Sound Bomb from Nippy Normans. Can be fitted with relay to alleviate can bus issues. Or a direct replacement is the low tone horn from a BMW 5 series, fits straight into the same place and is louder, that is what I had on my 2014, no issues. Just taken it off and intend to fit to my new 1250. Part number is 61 33 8 381 271, direct from your local BMW car dealers, about £28 or it was when I bought it a few years ago. Be careful if buying off ebay some had issues with the non genuine replacement part. You can search other forums as well, BMW LT forum (US centric) also 1200rt.com

How easy was the horn to fit, please?

I have no idea, because checking the tyre pressures & oil level is my limit.......
I have had a Stebel fitted over the years to an R1150R, a 1200GSA, a R1200R & 3 different R1200RT's. All were fitted at Service by my independent specialist. He's never cursed me - well not openly - when I collected them, so I'm guessing to a mechanic it was easy. Sorry if that's unhelpful, but it's the true story !

Just fitted the BMW 5 Series Low Tone Horn to my RT, cheap fix, plug ‘n’ play, good and loud

I've fitted the BMW horn to my Iconic; much nicer note. Apparently it's the horn that was fitted to pre-2007 R1200RT's. As you say, a simple fit. Top tip Casbar.
