Going home the other week from that-there London, the rear shock let go and I needed to have a reconditioned unit fitted.

While this was happening, it was noted the rear pads were wearing very unevenly, so off to ebay for a replacement calliper c/o James Sherlock (nice unit arrived, complete with new pads).

As I was having this fitted at BGM, I mentioned that I was starting to get some nasty vibes from (what felt like) the transmission on the over-run; the prognosis wasn't good - new drive shaft needed (and bike condemned in the meantime)! Ouch.

Still, can't complain too much. I bought the bike just under 4 years ago with 17k on the clock. It's now done 116,850, so I'm about 150 miles from doing 100k in just under 4 years.

So.… To all you high mileage 1200 GSA hexhead riders out there - what's going to need replacing next (other than the bank balance)?
 
Get the cloutch and final drive bearings done and you good for another 100K ;)
