I just had a trip with work to Las Vegas and took two and half days to see a bit of the country afterwards on a rented GS. I did about 740 miles to Mt Charleston and then through Death Valley from Shoshone to Beatty and then back past Red Rock Canyon. It was pretty awesome and here are a few pics. :)

....had a business/fun trip to LV a few years back, couldn’t tack days on but did manage to rent a bike (twice) to use in some free time. Local including RedRock Canyon one day and then a day out loop via Shoshone, Badwater Road and Death Valley - That day included crossing the state line at the ton, well you have to don’t you - it’s the law :D

Very nice. Any wild flowers in Death Valley?

Yes there were as it is the one time of year where the desert blooms. I took a few pics. Will upload when I can get a chance.

What was the Temperature when you were going through " the valley " ?
B@@dy hot when I was there with Sgt Bilco of this parish

I am looking forward to a return trip in October

we were there in Feb, we went redneck and hired a hooooge pickup to go out into the desert.....................It snowed

Great time to go and a bit cooler that June when we normally ride through the Valley!!

I'll get there one day . Think i'll rent a gs rather than a tractor

If you get there, I think you should be prepared to be somewhat self-sufficient.

I took this picture in early October 2018. After I took the picture I didn't see a building, a car, a person for at least an hour - almost 50-odd miles

If you're doing this route in the summer, you need plenty of water and a plan to deal with punctures and the like.

And if you want to see Death Valley, go soon - before they flood it with sea water!

Read in on this thread

Surely they could try something else first!
