Wife’s RNineT is out of warranty now and needs a service.

Recommend us an independent BMW specialist who using genuine parts.

Is extending warranty worth it on an RnineT being relatively basic bike and lacking all the tech?

Take dog biscuits.

I would, unfortunately the chap not open on weekends (I don’t blame him) and neither wife or I can have a day off during the week without a consequence from work.
Shame, he seem like a nice bloke and only less than 20 miles away. Price he gave me is very reasonable too.

Just seen this and maybe not too late for any future needs .. I used a chap for my GS when I commuted a lot and he was VERY good .. need to book in advance .. decent honest service AND there is a cafe around the corner that I would use for 2 hrs or so whilst he had the bike.

I originally got his details of this site and although not been there for a couple of years (new bike) when this is out of warranty I will go back to him ... here we go ..

Thank you for the recommendation.
Unfortunately the place is on the “wrong” side of London for us. Wife hated riding 20 minutes on a quiet (for London) Sunday morning to Bike Shed, with all the traffic and people driving to close for her comfort. She was a stressed wreck by the end of it. I doubt she will want to ride all the way to SE London.

Wouldn’t be an issue for me though. Failing in our search, I’d have to take the bike over there myself.

It seem that I have not mentioned our location.
We live in Watford area (Herts).

Can you drop it off week days out of hours and pick it up in a lunch hour (only 20 miles away)?

Not without taking time off from work which will have a far greater financial effect, compared to taking the bike to a BMW dealer up the road and over the weekend.

How can you not take time of work?

by law your entitled to 28 days paid holiday a year ...

The bike is going to be out of use for most of one day, so take a days holiday and have a ride out to an indy and back ;)

That!

Planing a day off when schedule is busy and you have stuff to get on with, isn't exactly straight forward.
