Rear caliper woes .

Took off the rear caliper on my 1100GS to clean up the brake pin etc and when I was putting it back onto the bike one of the mounting bolt holes has stripped its thread

looks like I'll be looking for a rear caliper n mount.. thought the day was going too easy after fitting the gearbox reinforcement plates ..

Alternately get it welded then re-drill and thread the mounting.

When I bought my r150gs in 2002 , it had the same problem . I repaired it using Wurth Timesert's and it was still fine 9 years later when I sold the bike

Done the same myself... A cheap solution and it works very well.
