A general inquiry
Last year I bought a Lindstrands Qurizo jacket and trousers, or pants as they are called.

I am very happy with everything about them except for the armour, which seems chunky, heavy and always in the way, even when warm.
It makes it a battle just taking the gear on and off.
Is there a light weight alternative I can replace the originals with?

Never heard of it until the other day ..

It has properties like corn flour from what i could see, flexible and soft to mould, and then hard when subjected to stress

Impressive stuff :)

My Klim kit came with D30 and it's good stuff.
However I still replaced it all with Forcefield armour which is what I use in all my kit.
It works the same way as D30 (does that soft/hard thing) but is layered and honeycombed and personally I find it lighter, cooler and therefore comfier.

I also had an issue with the D30 armour fitted to my Klim kit in so much as over about a year it started to split and tear. Whilst it was down to a recognised faulty batch of armour at the time it didn't instil me with confidence.

Same here replaced all the D30 in my Klim Badlands with Forcefield armour, I find it fits a lot better around by shoulders & elbows than the D30. Also had the cracking issue with the D30, replaced by the retailer without issue but I don’t have the faith in it that I do with Forcefield.

Thanks for the excellent advice here.
I have bought the Forcefield armour, shoulders, elbows, knees and hips, superglued with Velcro as the Lindstrands doesn’t have armour pockets as such, so requires Velcro to keep the parts in place.
Will be testing it next weekend but it is much thinner and more flexible so I’m optimistic
