Sounds like a win - you will end up in an N+1 situation which is ideal (N being the "number of bikes currently in my garage")

I, too, bought a 1200 Explorer and sold it a year later. Plenty of go but same as you, felt it was tool to go touring on, not a bike that I really enjoyed riding, plus I hated it when trying to move it around the garage as just too top heavy.

I'm happy with my 2 bikes right now but the V85 is on the list of future purchases should I be looking for a change in future.

I have had a huge respect and a hankering for a Guzzi since a guy 2 up taught me a lesson about torque on the A5 in Wales 30 odd years ago. I was on a Kawasaki GPZ600R solo and every roundabout it sounded like he was dropping down 1 cog for my 3 downshifts and leaving me in his wake. I consoled myself by saying "ah he's probably a local, knows the roads really well"

It was a still dark night and the sound of that Guzzi will stay with me forever. Don't know what it was, could have been dark green. :beer:
