The puig hugger protects the shock well and gives plenty of room.

Hello Billy and thanks for the photo; your bike looks great.

Yes, I have the exact same hugger and I have fitted a rear fender under the seat and I was hoping to remove the hugger and fit a Mudsling but I don’t think the Wilbers shock will allow it.

The mudsling will protect the shock very well but will hide it. It would be a shame to hide the cool bits.

I think the puig looks great on the original 9’s but I think the mudsling May look better on the Urban/Scrambler with nobblies

The mudsling fits very close to the shock on the 9 t, its worth considering if you intend to change the shock
unlike their other fitments it is less access to the shock at the top ,
even standard model 9 t adjuster knob has to be removed and pre load adjuster turned to give clearance,
which then reqs an 8 mm socket and extension etc to reach behind the brake reservoir,
I sent it back giving the reason above, mentioning my high regard for previous designs,
machine-art were quite defensive basically stating the bike can be made to fit the mudsling,??
pity i like their stuff,
the ilmberger hugger and carbon front guard replaced that idea, and in hind sight suit the bike better being the roadster,
