Xpect are not insurer, they are an MGA (Managing General Agent) in essence, a broker but one that acts on behalf of just one insurer. The insurer of your motorbike is actually based in Malta. Malta is in the EU, as are we..... for now. This enables a Maltese based (and regulated) insurer to accept business in the UK. E-bike was / is very similar.
If you are happy with the premium they have charged / the policy conditions and terms; then you are happy. That is all that really matters. If you have a claim, you’ll be able to judge the service you receive, then and there. If you don’t have a claim, you’ll presumably stay happy.
