So last Sun (28th Apr) Jon (BluesnTwos), Tyrone (EasySushi) and myself set off to Portsmouth to catch the 0800 ferry crossing to La Havre. No real plan in mind other than to spend 6 days travelling around the wonderful roads and sights that Brittany has to offer. Accommodation was camping all the way, and during the crossing we agreed that rather than packing up everything and moving to a different site daily we'd find a more central camp site and use that as a base for the trip..

We arrived in La Havre around 1430 and by the time we'd left the port it was around 1500. Given the time we decided we'd head to a campsite that Jon and i visited last year in a town just north of Granville called Coudeville-Plage where the campsite is right on the beach:

We got the tents set up then off for food and a walk along the beach before breaking out the fire box to get warmed up!!

I have to say i'm really please with the Robens Lodge 2, it's perfect for 1 person, great quality and very easy to pitch..

That was a bloody cold night but it stayed dry and we woke up to sun on Monday morning ready for the ride down to Saint Coulitz where we were to stay for the next 3 nights.....
More to come..
