R1200gs knocking

Just pick up my R1200gs today, its had a 12000 mile service at Williams BMW Manchester. When the bikes been stood for a short while the engine knocks for about 2 second when first started up doesn't do it after its warmed up, is this normal
10300 miles on the bike.

There's a centrifugal decompressor on the exhaust cam that sounds awful for a couple of seconds on startup, that's probably what you are hearing

On my previous two it sounds like the cam chain tensioner

Knocking usualy refers to the big end... are you sure its a knock??
