There are lots of books and guides on the huge battles that raged through the Ardennes, many too large to kart around on a motorcycle.

By chance, whilst looking for something else, I tripped over this much simpler publication which, though not packed with intimate detail, would give anyone a decent enough idea as to what went on and places to see in a comfortable enough way over maybe a few days. The locations and sites are divided into five independent but interlocking routes or ‘Lanes’ with the main towns or villages marked. It would be easy to cut them into a GPX route or load the places into something like, Kurviger.

As websites have an annoying habit of vanishing, I took the liberty of cutting it into a PDF document, hosted on Dropbox:

If anyone is interested about other ideas from the tourist office, it’s only fair to mention their website:

Play around in it, it won’t break.

Here’s a picture of the area covered:

No problem. I’m glad I made a PDF copy of the tourist office’s document as (as is common) the website has changed.
