Any one got it ?

Does it work ?

I have not got the bike yet but it does have the big TFT screen and My ride functionality

I have the App on my phone and on there it looks impressive in as much as it is the sort of sat nav that i like no frills just turn indication

Any way are there any pit falls ? any tips and as said most importantly any problems or issues

It wont be the end of the world if it turns out to be shit but on paper ( screen) at least it looks good

For which bike ?

2019 SD GT

I believe the principle and the way it works is now common accross the 1290 range from SD to SA

I have it on a 790 adventure. App crashes and the real-time progress updates to the dash doesn’t work so it doesn’t update progress unless switches off and on again.

It is not a replacement for a sat nav and you can’t influence way points so it may display in 54miles turn left, etc. It’s also quite slow so if you are on a new style of roundabout that has lay-by and roundabout within a roundabout it’s no good as the update turn left can be a minute after you passed the exit.

Looking at the app you can add way points although i accept that you cannot adjust on the fly so to speak

I have got out of the sat nav habit with the Ducati and the only time i miss it is for finding things like hotels i have never been to or in a city that is strange to me

I hear what you say though and it is disappointing that it seems a bit sketchy in reliability

I have it but never use it !

I have it and, after a fashion, it works.

Took weeks and several upgrades for the dealer to get it working though.

Having had the opportunity to give it a go i can say that I like it and it works !

Connected up very easily to both phone and Senna 20
Music player bit is easy and works well

I like the turn by turn sat nav thing it does from the my ride app

Phone calls show up on the screen and opportunity to see caller and then reject which is what i do most of the time

All in all a good bit of tech on a bike IMO

Is your phone Apple or Android ?

Apple !

No issues connecting and not a single drop off or loss in 300 miles yesterday

Mine is Apple and it worked intermittently. Have to switch off/ on to resync.

It’s not a replacement for sat nav for me.

I doubt it could truly repalce a proper sat nav but for me it serves to get me the last bit of a journey that I am unfamilliar with like yesterday going to Premier bikes i only used the Nav function for the last 10 miles just to make sure i made the correct turns

I did use the music player for all the motorway part of the trip though without issue

Agree. Not helpful on the motorway saying in 85miles turn left, but Wolf Alice in the headset with a display that work is trying to call me is very convenient. Haven’t worked out how to answer the call yet ;)
