the cats have been on my seat and stretching their claws, so I'd like to get the seat sorted. Does anyone have any experience of the DIY replacement seat covers on ebay, or am I better off sending it to Tony Archer? (any idea on price and turnaround time?)

Or if anyone knows of one for sale... :augie

I recovered and re-shaped my seat. The one detail that might be worth something to you is that the oem seat cover is fixed with adhesive to the foam underneath.

Go easy as you peel off the cover. But the question I can't answer is if you should get some spray adhesive onto the new cover as you fit it? I'm thinking a carpet adhesive for example.

Tracey, from near Telford, she is a top class vehicle upholsterer and did my Xco for me, while I waited. Added some foam to make the rider position a bit taller and more padded - fantastic job. Normally she would recover the whole seat, but for what I wanted didn't need to. She makes seats for custom bikes too, and tool rolls etc - normally she is recovering classic car restorations, that kind of thing. Very much more affordable than the 'bike specialists' - she and hubby, who is a gunmaker, both ride bikes.

Do they have a company name?
