First the good news. Warranty claim for new fork legs due to corrosion approved by Moto Guzzi
so after several weeks lead time got the bike booked in for today. Now the bad. A few weeks ago I went into the dealers to check that all the bits had arrived and saw the replacement fork lowers. Rough as a bears arse, so asked dealer if I could take em away and get them bead blasted and powder coated or sprayed, after much deliberation the agreed. Went in last week, have you got all the bits, oh yes was the reply, even the reflectors, oh we haven't ordered them. Best you do I said unless you want to spend over an hour picking off the old sticky fixings. OK we will order a new set
Took bike in. Phone rings, err, we appear to have a problem, we haven't ordered the bushes we can't do the job today FFS
oh but they are on priority order we will have the beginning of week. After much swearing under breath I said. OK keep hold of bike and call me when it's done. Later today, phone rings. Err we have been told by moto guzzi parts not available and are on back order don't know for how long. FFS again. OK I'll come and get it. What a feckin dick dance.
