I'm moving to Mac and want Office as I'm wedded to Excel and Word (yes, I know you can use Numbers and Pages to view etc.)

I can get Lifetime versions of Office for Mac 2011, 2016 and even 2019 off Fleabay for £4.99 and up; too good to be true?

I might go for a Windows 10 Key for similar money and run my current office via Virtualbox - are the £5 keys genuine?

If anyone has a reliable source/old copy they want to sell, please let me know (via PM if you're shy).

Thanks all,

A

Would you give your credit card and number to a complete stranger, well this is basically the same when you install their software on your computer, there will be a backdoor and they will have access to all you do..................:rob

Some of the online code stores are legit and offer good discounts

CDkeys is good for codes,

sadly MS no longer does a stand alone package for office, its now a subscription based service

You could also search for free keys online,

do not however downlaod and install keygens, they are open to a whole world of pain lol

UPDATE - older versions are not supported by later MacOS.

So I've downloaded LibreOffice which is exactly what I need; handles all Office formats and will save back to the same format easily.

HTH others.

Thanks for the advice - there are also a few listings for genuine Office software but second-hand and much older, genuine disks but no longer used I guess.

Any pitfalls there?

I use Office 2003 at the moment and feel no need to update so it might actually work better for me!

Cheers,

A

If you can get an office mac 2016 that for me is about the best, second hand original.

Get a key for the latest version of Office for Mac - cant remember what that is (search through Amazon as well as eBay)

Only downside to office for Mac - is Outlook isnt as functional as in Windows (just a few features missing)

Thanks everyone, closing the thread now as it is confusing even me that my Post 6 was edited after Posts 7 and 8.

See Post 6 for my solution.
