Evening all, a call out to XR owners past and present...
What's involved in the first (running in, 600 mile) service? And... What can I expect to pay for it?
Cheers in anticipation

Pick mines up today.
I had a ktm 1090adv awesome bike unfortunately had a wee bump on the bike .
Very minimal damage they wrote it off.
So went for the low s1000xr.
Triple black. Was impressed with the bike on the trial run 120 mile

I took my XR in to have it’s 600 mile (832 miles on the clock) running in service this morning. Big impressive list of things checked but it’s mainly visual checks. The physical things done were oil & filter change, top up the coolant, lube & tension the chain. They also removed the 9k rev limit. Took them 2 hours and I paid £187.01 for the pleasure. At least the hot chocolate out of the machine was bloody lovely !!

Yep think that's roughly what I paid, got mine going in Saturday for its second service, oil, filter, brake fluid and general check, been quoted £243 some odd inc what an awesome bike worth every penny :thumb

Cheers folks, will get my £180-190 worth of coffee, shortbread (we are in the Highlands) and Dit-spinning with the guys at HF. RIDE SAFE... RIDE FAST :)
