How do I install a firmware update for a Card Packtalk Slim using a Mac?

Hoping someone can help.

I've had a message telling me to install a firmware update (version 5.2) on my year old Packtalk Slim. I've gone onto the Cardo community site and my device never shows up when I plug it into my Mac.

I went to the FAQ and apparently I should download/run Card updater but I can't find it anywhere.

Does the updater not work with Macs?

I use a Mac. The first thing is, Cardo Community is not compatible with Safari. So I use Chrome, assume you have an account and log on to the community. Anyway I made some changes yesterday to my Packtalk. i just logged onto the community had my Packtalk plugged into my MacBook USB and after a minute or so it was connected. I also use the Cardo app, but that is for controlling the Packtalk, never done any updates from it

Thanks Casbar - I'd been waiting for 15 minutes with no connection to the mac. I've just found out the USB cable has given up the ghost. After struggling to connect the helmet to the mac with 20cm usb cable it's all finally happened as you described
