Evening all

Planning a wee jaunt down to Sammy Miller's plus Beaulieu plus the tank museum so am looking for a decent pub with campsite nearby (or vice versa :D) somewher in the middle of that lot. Any suggestions gentlemen?

West Bay campsite opened for the season this weekend. Several pubs within walking distance and powerboat racing in the bay this weekend. Bit of a trek to get here in time from Scotchland, but worth a visit at any time.

If you're travelling all that way, SB, take in the Haynes museum (Sparkford, Yeovil BA22 7LH) while you're in the area. It really is worth the effort and the entrance fee, but allow plenty of time. And lots of (relatively peaceful) B roads to enjoy too.

The happy chease in ashurst new forest is a good start for sammies and Beaulieu going to the tank museum should be another stop but you will find loads of camp sites in Dorset
