Spoke to John McGuinness on Sunday and he said he was riding the hill.

Great evening thanks for the heads up

Good to see 2 World Champions battling it out ....just for fun

It really is a unique sort of event and stems from the Bainbridge sports days from the 1960's & 1970's when there was fell running, team ball sports and running races, plus motorcycle off-road racing when local lads, pitted themselves against the factory riders of the day and maybe took a win, a story to tell the grandkids - the day I beat such & such in mi back yard ...

That can still happen today - a local farmer's son on a 20 year old 520 KTM, knocked out World Champion Graham Jarvis on a full factory 2020 Husky tonight - so upsets can happen

Great night out and full of Dales folk and farmers too

Had a couple of pints in West Burton pub afterward with a few folk to round off the evening

World Enduro and USA GNCC Champion Knighter on the far right slot

At the end - Knighter was either winner or runner up on the Suzuki

He's properly quick is Knight, he was racing at an enduro event i did a few years back. Safe to say he was long gone

Did McGuiness ride? he was stood watching practice in shorts and a T-shirt behind me, didn't realise until today Knighter and Grimbo Jarvis were there!

Saw him at Bikewise on Sunday and he said he’d be having a go but don’t think he did in the end.

Looks like it was another good night - onto 4 weeks post hernia op...sometime in near future I may be able to risk a m/c ride...have to weigh up when I'm fit enough to cover a 'lift' if bike rolled off stand more than anything else.. not yet :( but soon be looking back on it as history :thumb hopefully before they start gritting :augie

That’s a bugger, glad to hear your on the mend. Other than the post op, hope you and Bev are keeping well!

After receiving your Xmas card you had me talking for days to anyone who would listen, discussing your criptic Xmas message.

Will have to have a catch up, I don’t see Gerry much these days with his work, but he he is bobbing down to Bolton Abbey so having a beer with him in Appletreewick this Sunday. I have also only just found out Dazzer seems to have moved to Alaska.

You look after yourself
