Hi am looking to improve rider and pillion comfort from the standard seat. Am i right in thinking that the adventure has less options than the standard two peice because of the fittings? Would it be worth getting those fittings or is there a good option for the adventure please?

It's true that the GSA one-piece has less options, particularly when a pillion needs to be accommodated. The Corbin solution is one way to go and a popular mod, but it doesn't improve things much for the pillion. They are also quite wide between the thighs which can be critical if you are vertically challenged and 'teetering' on standard seats.
Conversion kits were available from Motorworks to allow fitting of the GS two-piece but your best bet is to find a GS owner who wants to 'upgrade' to the GSA seat, then do a swap.

If you have time over winter to take it off the road, here is one option from Poland (read the description).
It looks good and don’t see any complaints.
There is the additional option of gel inserts.
