R1250GS rear subframe

Hi Dave....I am intending to remove my subframe for powder coat due to corrosion issues....I assume you just 7ndo all visible bolts, disconnect wires, remove trays, undo any other visible bolts and off it comes. Is it as ‘easy’ as that? Thx

It really is as easy as that. I didn’t even undo any wires. Once the tray holding the ecu was unclipped from the subframe, I sat that on top of the rear wheel.just make sure you have good quality torx sockets, as the bolts are really soft.

Brilliant....thank you. Hopefully a good powder coating will sort it out permanently.
 
the bolts are not soft its the loctite that makes them hard to remove with cheap torx bits,quality torx bits and a heat gun are your friends
