Electrical cable

I need to do a couple of small cable repairs and am struggling to find the right cable.
I have looked on the net and am getting really confused.
I am looking for the thin cable BMW use to the number plate light on my 700GS.
Looking at various cables they all seem of the same variety.
I am sure this is going to get abuse but if it can be followed by advice of where to get a useful supply of cable then I guess that's ok.

Are you just after single core cable or multicore. If you just want to replace that part of the loom then Motorworks may be able to help?

I've just looked for "12v Twin Core" on Ebay in the past, the thinwall stuff has fulfilled all my requirements for peripherals so far....

Try vehicle wiring products , 12 volt planet or kojaycat.

The last two probably better for smaller amounts.

Single core pvc thinwall. 0.5 mm will be fine but if you are crimping connectors on,1.0mm will be much better.

go to your local bike shop, i bet they have a dead loom, you could rob from.

Thanks for all the useful info.
Went to 12 Volt planet, very helpful answering some numpty questions, bought a couple of mini reels so all sorted.
If they deliver on time then I would use them again.
