Great days riding, loads of fun and will definitely be doing it again...

Nice one, you need a Desert Sled to make a full comparison of classic off-road wannabes :D

Nicely done :beerjug:

I’m just a few mods away from being totally happy with mine I think. More road biased tyres, mini smiths style rev counter and some higher bars (unit garage)

SE Rider........I live near to Windsor and the one thing putting me off buying a Scrambler / TUrban is the lack of off road / green lanes around here.

Tell me - where do you go?

Are there some decent lanes around us?

I have a 'normal' R9T and would love a 2nd toy with off road capabilities - albeit very light duties as I'm not experienced at all - but don't really want a GS.

Cheers.

Buy an OS map or come over to West Berkshire and head off towards Salisbury Plain :thumb

Not quite that simple though is it c/o local authority TRO's although Salisbury is reasonably straight forward.

Good thing about big bikes is their ability to chew road miles to get to the lanes.

Hi JGK,

The lanes we rode were all around the Arborfield, Finchampstead, Wokingham areas. We were only out for a few hours and ended up at the Triumph Bulldog dealership at Winnersh, the last lane we rode was 2 minutes from there. None of them were particularly challenging although some of them were very overgrown. There was only 1 lane that was quite rutted but we took it slow and had no offs.. Neither one of us are particularly experienced off road riders... The last time i rode off road was in 2014 in Morocco which was pretty hard core (for me) and i was on a big old 1150 GSA...

Worth having a look here for local lanes:

Went out with a mate on Friday to do a few of the local lanes, have to say i was pretty impressed with how the Urban coped in the mud... Just need a set of lower footpegs for it and it'll be great!!

Can recommend the SW Motech pegs - Ht adjustable and much wider :thumb
