MTC failure

Hi chaps
My mate has just broken down on his 19 plate 1290 sas. It’s come up MTC failure and everything has cut out. Anyone had this or heard of it?
He’s pushed it home because the RAC have said 5 hours wait due to bank holiday etc. It’s being taken to KTM tomorrow when they reopen

Doesn't just happen to GS1250 Rallye's then,at least mine started eventually !
 
Well few weeks on and they still can’t find a fault. Diagnostically it’s all clear and then when they check everything a ride it the thing breaks down. He’s gutted
